Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography

  • a funny book
  • a nonfiction book
  • a memoir
  • a book with magic
  • a book by an author you’ve never read before

This book made me fall more than a little bit in love with Neil Patrick Harris. As if I wasn’t already there before I started it… I definitely recommend listening to the audiobook, because he narrates it himself. ALWAYS listen to the audiobook if the author narrates it. I haven’t heard a bad one yet. Of course, they’ve all been celebrity memoirs, so that might have something to do with it. I did get a bit confused the first time the other narrator spoke. He has these little stories from his famous friends and they’re all narrated by some regal British man…the first one is Penn, from Penn & Teller, and I was SO confused about the accent, like…is that the guy I’m thinking of?? And then the next time it came around it was the same voice and I understood. That is by far the least interesting thing I could’ve said in regards to this book, but there you go.

If you only listen to one famous person’s memoir, listen to this one.
